Dr. Ecklund

The American Institute of Financial Studies, LLC (“AIFS”) is one of the leading insurance schools in New Jersey.  American Institute of Financial Services, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Dr. Eugene M. Ecklund, a former investigator with the NJ Department of Insurance, whose insurance career spanned over five (5) decades.

Beginning as both an independent insurance producer and as a securities agent, Dr. Ecklund immediately engaged in an award-winning and successful personal career.  Dr. Ecklund’s reputation within the insurance industry combined with his experience was recognized by several major insurance companies such as The Hartford Insurance Group, The Mony Group, and Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company, respectively, all of whom recruited Dr. Ecklund various times as a trainer, instructor or Field Director of Advanced Underwriting.

Eventually, Dr. Ecklund established his own broker/dealership and later became a member of the syndicated and co-underwriter of the Oppenheimer/AIM Fund.  Dr. Ecklund’s diversified background and experience became the perfect foundation to start American Institute of Financial Services, Inc.

Today, The American Institute of Financial Studies, LLC. provides Pre-Licensing courses in Life Insurance, Health Insurance and Mortgage Banking.  In addition to offering Continuing Education courses for most insurance authorities in NJ, AIFS also provides instruction in Securities Series 6, Series 63 and Series 65.
